From the Spencer Davis Group to Traffic and a few others, Steve Winwood has presented amazing musicianship and powerful vocals. So, it was with no surprise that he would produce several great albums when he went solo. Back in the High Life is a short but amazing album that really showcased Steve's ability to craft songs and execute them to perfection.

Album Review

On this episode of Follow the Sound, Brian and Jake bring in a friend to help them review an album. Karl Stegeman brings Primus' first album “Frizzle Fry”. This 1990 album showcases the complete musical mastery of Primus as well as their oddball, off-the-wall, creativity. This album may not be the most melodic album but it certainly entertains with its strange percussion and time changes. We hope you enjoy this album review on Follow the Sound!

Album Review

Today Greg and Jake are joined by DJ Lady Scratch, as she gives us the run down on Tool's 2001 release, Lateralus!

Lateralus proves to be a bit much to handle for our crew. Perhaps it was counting out the Fibonacci Sequence in the title track, or just getting lost in Maynard's dreamy vocals, but it took our host nearly half an hour of recounting the band's history to remember the date of Tool's first release Undertow.
We hope you get lost in this master stroke of dissonance, and ham-fisted alternative thinking. Please enjoy Tool's Lateralus.
